Kari Warshak

Kari embarked on her journey in speech therapy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Minot State University in 2009, followed by a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Dakota in 2011. Her passion for making a difference led her to diverse settings, including private practice and schools, where she currently serves the community of Bismarck, ND. With over 13 years of experience, Kari brings a wealth of expertise and a heart full of empathy to her practice.
With a child-led approach tailored to each client's unique strengths and needs, Kari strives to create a nurturing environment where children can thrive. She understands the importance of forming strong relationships with families which is key to meaningful progress.
Kari's areas of expertise include speech sound disorders, language disorders, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Social Thinking. She in trained in various techniques such as PROMPT Therapy, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) TEACCH, Fundamentals of Sentence Writing Strategies, and Social Thinking to name a few. Kari has worked with a variety of populations to help them find their voice including toddlers who are 'late talkers' English Language Learners, Autism, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Apraxia, and more.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Kari finds joy in spending time with her family and her beloved pets 'Doug' and 'Rizzo'. Whether she's helping a child find their voice or enjoying the simple pleasures of life, Kari extends warmth and compassion to everyone she works with.
